Hi! I’m Quang-Tien Dam, a recent master’s graduate from Ritsumeikan University, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Joo-Ho Lee and Asst. Prof. Dinh-Tuan Tran. My master’s research explored the intersection of generative AI and human-robot interaction, specifically leveraging diffusion and flow matching models to generate realistic reactions to pain stimuli and augment expression data for robot patient simulators.
I hold a Bachelor of Engineering from Danang University of Technology (DUT), where I worked on computer vision projects including flood segmentation in urban scenes with Dr. Ninh Khanh Duy, and ransomware detection using CV models as part of the netsec-it lab under Dr. Le Tran Duc.
Beyond research, I like astronomy, I served as president of the Danang Astronomy Club, organizing observing events and creating science outreach content to spark public interest in the cosmos. When I’m not working on robotics or stargazing, you’ll find me hiking and exploring nature.
My vision is to develop generative models for robotics that enable robots to become intelligent, adaptive companions that is capable of living alongside humans as naturally as a beloved pet.
📧 I am actively looking for PhD positions in generative AI for robotics.
